It's cute now...

DSnow spotted stuffed animals at the store and started freaking out in the cart. I let her out and she immediately ran over to the pink bear, grabbed it, and promptly ran to Daddy. Lol.

It's cute now, but......

Love,
A sucker for that girl.

Sweet brother

Today at the park I witnessed something so sweet. I taught Dempsey how to go down the slide on her stomach. She loved it and wanted more. But that wasn't the ultimate preciousness. The ultimate was when AJ held Dempsey in between his legs as they went down the slide a TON of time. At the bottom he'd careful drop her down on the ground, and off she'd run to get back on the slide again. Ugh! So sweet. And tonight I didn't bring my phone, so as much as I'd love the pictures it was nice to not be tempted by email or Facebook or the news.

Good times,
Momma

This phase

Constant cleaning and "organizing" of the drawer phase. Yikes!

First 2015 (Bat)venture!

The kids and I undertook a tour of "AJ's school playgrounds", led by AJ himself.  We had a great time!

I'll let the pics do the talking.

2015 Fruvellhoff Family Goals

  1. Climb our first 14er, just Megs and Russ.
  2. Go backpacking in the mountains for 3-4 days, just Megs and Russ.
  3. Go camping with the whole family.  Real camping.  In the mountains.  And use our thermos.
  4. Pay off half of our current short-term debt.
  5.  See whales in New Jersey with the Hoffman grandparents.
  6. Go to Texas.
  7. Go to Nebraska for the annual Hoffman 4th of July river party.
  8. Be home for most of the summer, as a family (well, Meg and the kids anyway).
2014 was the year of establishing the new norm for our final, forever family.  It was the year of finding ourselves and our places in this family.  It was the year of building new relationships and rebuilding existing ones.  It was also the year of figuring out new systems and ways of living, ways of making our lives easier, and ultimately prioritizing, focusing, and engaging on the fun family times that will really matter in the end.  Here's to another great year.
