Rockin.

Some pics of Russell and I.  I sure do love this man.  He is able to sense when I'm not grounded and somehow remain calm and collected, and make it better.  I appreciate that.  When sleep is lacking, and things are starting to stack up, I need a rock.  He's there.  And there isn't anything better than have a great partner to keep me sane.

Love you Russell,

Sweet Ryker Boy

I hung out with this little dude all night and all day ....Poor dude had a fever and was definitely going through the fever crazies.  He would yell, "GET OFF THE BOAT," while semi-sleeping last night.  He has said some epic quotes lately that we must document.

*The other day we pulled into the driveway after arriving back from daycare,  In the back, Ryker exclaims, "OHhhhh HOME Sweet Home!!!"
*We were in the car, again coming home from daycare, and Ryker says, "Mom, I want to go to all the places."  I said, "What places?"  And he replied simply with, "All the places!"  I say, "YES! Me too! Let's go to all the places!"
*A few weeks ago we were in the car headed to pick up Russell.  Ryker said with a bit of tears, "Mom, my shoulder itches.  I'm going to die."  He was a serious as he could be.  I asked him why he thought that.  He told me, "Because when my shoulder itches that's what happens.  I die."  It made me shed a tear, and I tried to comfort him and let him know that there wasn't a connection here, and that he just needed to itch his shoulder.  Geesh. Man.  That's all deep and stuff.

Oh Ryker.  He is such a cool soul!

Snow Baby has Personality!

The girl is not afraid to be who she is!  She is a girl that loves wearing hats-whatever hat you got, she wants it.  She loves wearing dresses and tutus, because when she spins the dress moves and THAT is fun.  She has the best serious face, and an even better smile.  She is starting to say sentences now, "I see AJ.  I want water please.  I love you."  It's still hard to make it out what she is saying, because she has that sweet little baby voice still.  But....we know.  The past couple of days she started to sleep in her big bed, which consists of a comfy full mattress on the floor.  Note the picture of her in it.  She wants both of her babies, and both of her owls.  She loves when I kiss all 4 of them, plus her goodnight.  We crack the door open, and usually we have to make some loud noises for her to wake up and get out of bed in the morning time.  It never ceases to amaze me, just when you've given up on sleep-they do something like this to ensure that they get to stay in the family.  I think this girl is going to be quite the jokester.  While waiting for AJ to finish up swim lessons she kept pretending to go right to the edge of the pool and fall in.  Tricky Dempsey-girl.  Love her energy.

He read! A book!

That's right! Our freakin-big-kid AJ just read (most) of a book tonight. It's one of those Bob books-"mat hid. Mat hid with Dot."  He sounded everything out and READ! It's just the beginning! But seriously! How cool??? I'm so proud of him. Squeeeeeee!
And today he gave his first presentation on the letter M.  He said it went great and that he used the projector.  I'm feeling so much better about our kindergarten choice! He is killing it!

Love,
Momma
