Sneaky Getaways

Labor Day weekend, Meg and I snuck away to the San Diego area.  We deleted Facebook off our phones, only told a handful of people, and basically just laid low the whole time.  AirBnB'd a place that was 1 house from the beach and crashing waves.  Used Lyft and Uber, no need to rent an actual car anymore these days.  Ate seafood, read our books by the sea, watched the seals, and caught up on our sleep!

Meg sums it up rather nicely:

Coldy

Little Demps.  So cute right now, still.  She doesn't get chilly.... And she doesn't get cold.

She gets coldy.

After the shower, in the middle of the night, outside when the cold North wind blows.  

"I'm coldy!"

And then she wants to snuggle and get warm.

Zing!

Mom (while holding a sad Dempsey): AJ its hard to be little.

AJ: it's not hard to be big. Unless your Ryker, than its hard.

Amen brother.

Big Brother

Dempsey needed help with her barrette. I was busy getting ready in the bathroom. I heard AJ say "stay still Demps. I don't really know what I'm doing, because I've never done this before."

I swear Russell said this very thing when he attempted his first ponytail.

Dempsey is well taken care of,
