Snowy Surprise

Dempsey bought this stuffie this weekend. For a long time she refused to name any of her stuffies, but now she does. I asked her tonight what the name of the new stuffy was...and this is what she said.

Demps: Mom, you know when you go to bed and then you wake up and there is snow on the ground but you didn’t know it was going to snow. That’s a Snowy Surprise and that is what my stuffie’s name is.

Funny that is what I think Dempsey is to me....a Snowy Surprise.

Valentines Weekend

It’s been a great weekend! We got up to the mountain, did some work on the basement, learned a new family game, made chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries, had a yummy breakfast, exchanged love notes and mostly kept warm from the chilly outside!

Looks like I have a Valentine...

On the Hill

We made it up to Eldora as a family, finally!!! It was so awesome to be able to see all the family’s skills on the ski hill. I was proud of Russell for just picking up skiing! I was proud of Ryk for hanging with me at first and then rocking a blue hill. I was proud of AJ for going with me on the magic carpet and tackling skiing even though he “hates it”. And lastly dempsey, I’m proud of her for conquering her fear and going down the bunny hill more times than I could count!

She told Russ.... “I’m the best at this.”  -Dempsey on the bunny hill.  “Dempsey can I ride with you this time on the lift?” - Ryker. “Oh yeah sure!” -D. :)
