Spring Break was good, really good! The Grandparents were amazing and took our kids (& dogs) for 4 days!! This school year has been nuts and I truly welcomed the break to just BE for a bit. I didn’t cook, hardly cleaned and the only thing I had to keep alive was the plants and the three fish I’m babysitting from my work. Russ and I put some good work into the basement as we hope to get it mostly done before summer!

Russ and I joined the kids, dogs and Grandparents up in Estes and enjoyed some lovely family time! My Dad has been transferring all videos they have into digital files, so we spent some time going through videos of me as a kid, playing baseballs and also the kids in their younger days. Some highlights were hearing their sweet little voices and some appearances from Grammy. I so appreciate the time that my parents have taken to get picture and videos saved!
We then met up with our friends the Addingtons at Eldora. It was my best time yet on the mountain. I still stayed on the “Rabbit Hill”- the hill next to the bunny slope:) I was ready for a bigger green but Dempsey was not ready and we are determined to keep her interested. She definitely beat me every single time! Russ and Ryk headed with the Addingtons to do some Blues, which is super rad. AJ did not join us, and has pronounced he is done skiing. To his credit he went with Grandpa hiking/snowshoeing in RMNP.
The highlights included:
*Learning to use tech use in the car as way to encourage non-complaining while hiking at the Painted Mines.

* Definitely not playing/jumping in the hotel pool.

*Winnnnnning at the Escape Room in this awesome, spooky house, many thanks to some hints given!

*Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! One of the coolest zoos!

‘Twas a much needed getaway. Feeling really lucky to have this family:)
love,
Mom
