Oh AJ!
I hope you don’t take offense that it’s taken me so long to get this post out:) We’ve been a bit busy. I tell everyone that it’s been so awesome to have a kid get to middle school, and truly it’s been rad. He’s showing this new/fun sense of humor. He’s beating his dad in strategy games. He’s showing life with gentleman skills. And of course he’s endlessly driving his siblings nuts.
When I’m gone, he’s usually the first one to get up and come give me a hug when I return. I would say he runs, but it isn’t that….it also isn’t a walk:) He still will hold my hand. He’s a big love, and he feels so hard. We are working on him using his words versus folding or retreating right away. He has so much of his personality that takes after Russell and me. It’s crazy to see yourself living outside your body.
I’m excited to see what’s in store for this kid this year!
Maybe it’s golf? Maybe it’s programming his robot? Maybe it’s new friends. Maybe it’s standup comedy?
The options are endless for this guy.
