SHS Freshman Night

Last week we accompanied AJ to his Freshman Night. He got to meet his new principal who will also be new to the school. He already knew about the robotics team and was in full support of them! AJ was recruited by an older, yet shorter football player. AJ is actually considering it! He also signup up for Ultimate Frisbee. I just love that he is open to fully participating in high school!

I tried to pause every few moments and just take in the situation! My oldest, headed to high school. It really is a trip. 

I feel so grateful that he has a strong friend group, that he is well known with some of the staff already due to his robotics reputation, the AP is a friend of ours so he will be cared for, and he is ready!

Changes! Changes! Changes!

She’s doing it!

Dempsey has been asking us to do gymnastics for awhile now! She requested gymnastics at the place one of her BFFs go and we’ve been on the waitlist for awhile. She finally got in! On the drive she was so chatty and said how she was feeling excited and nervous. Before we got out of the car to go in she said “You got this Dempsey.” I asked her “what do you Demps if they ask you to do something and you don’t know how to do it?” She said, “I ask them to help. It’s their job to help me learn.” 

Bravo brave girl!
