Yup, he broke skin last night....ouchie ouchie. This isn't the first time that he has bit me. It always happens at night as he is nursing to sleep. People have asked--"Did you squeeze his cheeks and tell him no?" And I reply---no way--I scream, because it takes me by surprise...which of course makes Aylen cry, which leads to Russ coming in and laughing.
I can't blame the guy too much--he has his 2 front bottom teeth and his 2 front top teeth are on the way in....What's a guy to do?

Seriously...Do we have to have this conversation?
Me: Kitty get your butt out of Aylen's face
Kitty: Meow
Me: Aylen don't grab the kitty's butt
Aylen: AAHHHhhhhhda-da-da-da
Kitty: Seriously--Kitty out of Aylen's face
Gizmo LOVES Aylen. He seriously does. At least he has that going for him. Otherwise-these cats...well I just don't know how long they would have in these parts. I used to be able to deal with the cat puke, the midnight meowing, the pawing on the door--but times have changed. We will keep the cats around for a bit longer, but don't test us.

Just Swim Baby!
I need to document this!
Russ and I took Aylen to Union College on Sunday for some swimming fun! It brought back a TON of memories! I used to go to Union College ALOT-to swim with my friends and family. Nothing has changed...from the lockers, showers, or the Pool itself. Russ said that he wanted to take Aylen in the MENS room to change him, so I headed off by myself to my room. Of course, I was done sooner so I headed to the pool and paddled around. It felt like forever before my MEN came out of the changing room. It was one of those moments that will forever be imprinted in my HEAD. It's one of those moments that I remember waiting as a little girl for my Dad to come out of the men's room. And being so excited to go swimming with him. Now, I was waiting for my child to come out of the Mens Room with his Daddy. (This is the stuff that takes my breath away, and makes me LOVE LOVE LOVE being a mom!)
So out marches Russ holding Aylen so proudly. They are both in their swim trunks and I seriously felt like all was right in the world.
Ok-back to the story...So Aylen is scanning the room--thinking WHAT the heck has mom and dad got me into now!!! He spots me and GIVES me the biggest smile (melt heart melt heart). Russ hands him to me and in the water he goes! Russ convinces me (after he spoke with a guy in the locker room about the swimming instincts in babies) that we should have Aylen "swim". After asking a MILLION times what do we do? how do we do this??? Russ essentially gently pushes Aylen into the water and for probably 2 WHOLE SECONDS Aylen is ALONE, WITHOUT HELP in the water. And by George, he SWIMS to me! He holds his breath and it is AMAZING. I grab him and he looks at me like what the deuce mom???
And we try it a couple more times and it goes very well! And then we decide he has had enough--and just play games like --FInd Mommy, Find Daddy, play with the BALL in the water and had the BEST time swimming!
It was great! And fun! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I'm recreating great memories with Aylen, just like my family did for me back at the UNION pool!
Have a great day!
Love,
Momma

My 101 Post. No to the dying blog!
On Tuesday nights, Russ has the baby receiver. He is in charge of the little dude. I'm charged with the task of having "my night". Heh! What a concept. Often, I find myself picking up clothes, shoes, mail, baby toys--doing dishes, laundry, and "have tos". It's almost like I forgot the concept of "want tos". Russ gives me my reminders--"Remember. It's your night" aka "Seriously-you are going to chores on your night". Part of why I choose chores is because that means the next two nights when Russ is in class and having his night-I can just play with Aylen. I don't have to work at tidying up the house. And I don't have to do all of that stuff on the weekend, because why?? because I LOVE MY WEEKENDS!
So-anyways back to the Title of my BLOG! This is officially my #101 blog post. I'm impressed that I have made it this far...I have witnessed the cycle of the Blogger--it begins all hot and heavy--Blogging all the time about any and everything...then it slows down a bit, but still going strong. And then POOF before you know it 1 month has passed, then 3 months, and ah hell 1 year has gone..and you can't even remember the title of your Blog, let alone the password. I did that--Casa de Fruvellhoff's was created awhile back...but my pregnancy allowed me to jump back in. And since the birth of Aylen I'm slow but steady that is for sure.....So here's to my 101st blog and my Tuesday. (I cho-cho-choose you as my Tuesday Funday ---Casa de Fruvellhoffs)!
