1. Grandparents Rule. Della and I discussed tattoos and had some nice cuddle time. It's funny how I missed cuddling with my parent(s). I spend so much time cuddling my littles and Russell. It was nice. Real nice.
2. Russell is a great father. He has decided to take on a garden with the kids. I have only been minimally involved. This picture captures a discussion that he had with the kids on how to plant, why planting is cool, and what will happen with these seeds.
3. Dempsey really hates ponies. How the heck do people do ponies in their kids' hair.
Wow.
4. Russell and I really have fun together. We went to a Rockies game by ourselves. We had a great day of enjoying food, checking out our future cars, checking things off our to-do list, and just being cute like the good ol' days:) It was fun to go and be goofy:)
5. Batman is a great brother. At the park this past week he really took on care-taking of DSnow. He lifted her up and down, and over to there, and back here. He took her up steps, down the slide, and around the curb. And when he picks her up, she doesn't get worried. She just grabs on and lets him take her wherever they need to go.6. More words are coming out of DSnow. On the swing she has perfected her "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Cutest things ever. She also says: Hi Dad, Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, juice, wee, bye, dog.
7. The kids and I hung out with a family that we haven't seen in awhile, a new family to us, and our standard framily. It makes me feel super thankful that we are starting to meet alot of different families in Longmont and surrounding places. It is just so important to my/our survival to have a tribe both big and small.
There are more things that I learned, but I also learned that I'm not immune to everything. Last night I started to get this horrible cold that the kids had for the past couple weeks. My ears hurt, my throat hurts, and I'm tired. Just when I started to get cocky. I am not worthy.
But for real. I'm so thankful for Spring Break. It was such a great time away and break from the grind.
Love,
Momma
