She's 2!

I realized that I have yet to post on Dempsey and her birthday.  This year we did a quiet celebration of my sister and her family, Grandma and Grandpa, and our family at the bowling alley.  It is so rare that we are with the extended family for birthdays that we thought we would enjoy a small get together while Dempsey could care less.
This girl.  She consistently melts our hearts.  As I usually say, I don't know if it is her being the last child thing, being a girl, looking like me, or just BEING so amazing....but DANG she is just so cute.  Even when she is being naughty.  Within the last couple of weeks words are flowing out.  As of late, she enjoys saying "yellow", "Christmas lights", "Momma/Dadda, I love you."  She can withstand the cold, more so than her brothers could at her age.  She LOVES loves LOVES anything that is squishy.  On Friday we visited my good friend and her baby.  Immediately Dempsey scoped out the stuffed owl that was a decoration and enjoyed holding onto it during the visit.  Dempsey tries to hold her own with whatever is going on at home- eating chocolate from a bowl on the counter, flying planes, riding the scooter around, reading books, being a dinosaur, watching a movie, cuddling, coming in our room ALLNIGHTLONG, etc.
It seems that most people are worried to give Dempsey any gifts that involve pink or stereotypical girl gifts.  I REALLY DON"T CARE PEOPLE.  Seriously.  I think, no matter what, this girl will be completely well rounded.  AND honestly have you seen the tights they have now?  I mean cute freakin' kitty cats all over the place, signmeup.  I'm enjoying this girl stuff.  I love the pig tails, I'm starting to embrace pinks/purples.  AND oh best news EVER, Dempsey can officially say, "I'm STRONG!" and "I'm smart."  So all in all she is lining up to be a kick ass individual.

here's to you Dempsey Snow.  The coolest surprise I have ever received at home!
Love,
Momma
