In the blink of an eye A.J.'s done with Kindergarten. So much is the same, yet so much is different in this little dude. He went from AJ, to A.J. He knew letters, and now he knows books. He was shy and didn't talk much to strangers, and now he yells out the window "hello!" to people passing by. He went from having his sibling buddies to have a full list of people to invite to his birthday party. He went from a size 13 shoe, to a big boy 2 1/2 size shoe. He went from only knowing how to write "AJ" to writing full on sentences.
I think back to the amount of hours that I contemplated what to do about when to put this kid in school. His late birthday made me question many things. However, A.J. slayed kindergarten! Academically he did great, but socially is where he truly rocked it. Here is a picture of him participating in the End of Year Tea presentation. He talked in front of a room full of adults (and kids), using a microphone, and did fantastic. I know how nervous I get, and I just beamed while watching A.J. do exactly what he needed to do!

I can't believe the year just flew by! I was able to participate in the Field Day that they had on the last day of school. A.J. got to be with all of his buddies and it was so cool watching them work together and have fun! Cheers to A.J. and his hard work, his awesome teacher that I am so thankful for, and the great opportunities that he has had at school! We got word a couple months of ago that his picture will be in an article, in a national journal, about why it is so important to expose kindergartners to STEM activities! Wicked cool!
Love you A.J.,
Momma!
