29 is Growing Up

The guy that keeps things interesting.  

He is embarking on his kindergarten journey and honestly loving it.  He had kindergarten preview this week, and he was ready 30 minutes before he actually had to leave.  He took care of his snack, his boots, his outfit, and even his umbrella.  He asked every few minutes when it was time to leave.  When he got back I asked him questions and he focused on the "really nice guy that I played with" and when asked his name he had no idea.  It reminded me of a story that I told my Dad when I went to kinder and played with a nice girl whose name was unknown to me.  

Today Russell and I set our alarms in hopes of waking up early to workout together.  It seems rare that we work out together lately, for various reasons.  Today I was determined to start off my school year right, a nice workout, shower, and off to start my contract.  Russell got up with me and of course our early morning bird Ryker was waiting to get ready.  When he found out that we were going to go running he asked if he could join us.  We easily convinced him that it would be best for him to ride his bike, especially because he was dealing with a cold.  He led the way at least half the time, and the other time we encouraged and pushed.  He finished.  A little over 2 miles.  It was so great to be out with him, working out, and having him watch us take care of our bodies while he took care of his.

I cannot wait to hear about his first day of school.  Maybe he'll be different than A.J. and I'll get more than "good".
