The Big 4-0h. Having plenty of time to think over the past couple of months, I'm completely filled with gratitude and appreciation for everything and everyone in my life. By (m)any measures, my life has never been better. Megan and I have never felt stronger, tighter, or more rock-like. My kids are pretty dang awesome, smart, and developing into wonderful little humans. Every parent-teacher conference is an 11/10. My real estate business and opportunities continue to expand, lessening my time until early retirement and being able to do real estate as my main gig. Meanwhile, my tech career has me at an all-time earnings high, I love what I do, and have never had a job with a better work/life balance. I suppose I'm also still riding the high of being done with my latest and largest DIY project to date: the basement here.
Areas of life that could be improved for me are truly quite difficult to identify. It's hard to imagine my life going much better, as I have been telling people. It feels like a pinnacle, hopefully just one of many! It's a wonderful feeling, and I can't help but be thankful, grateful, and humbled by everything and everyone in my life. Cheers! -R
