We brought back Lake Mac this year! It was FAST AND FURIOUS to even get there! So many things going on for the last week of school, so many things happening right now with Russell's business, and people were tired. BUT darnit. We packed our bags and the camper and headed out. It. ended up being wonderful! We had 3 other families join us, 1 family that hadn't been camping with us for a long time.
The weather was beautiful, the water was pretty cold but ultimately felt refreshing. Lots of games of bocces, football, can jam, poker, black jack, and others. The fire chats were lovely, sleep happened mostly, and friend time was great. We ended up staying a third night, which we have decided is on point. 2 nights can seem like it's too much work to go for that, where the 3rd night feels just right. The third day and night we were by ourselves as a family and it was so great.
A shoutout to Russell who drives the camper and put in so much work to even get the thing drivable. We are so grateful that we get to have outdoor experiences and sleep/eat well with that thing! Without Russell, it would be impossible. Thanks R.
