Mandy and I make summer hangouts a priority. I'm not sure I'd be the same person if it weren't for her and her sweet family. We are two peas in a pod. We meet before summer and plan out our summer hangouts. Sadly we just experienced the last 2024 summer hangout this week. WHERE THE HECK DOES TIME GO??? The idea that we have 3 more of these summers before AJ is off to college-FREAKS.ME.OUT! LIKE...will he still want to do hangouts next summer or the summer after that? I sure hope so.
This year we were in water mostly. It was so darn hot. We went to Rogers Grove and jumped and tubed. We played at our pool. We went and did some massive gaming at Loveland Laser Tag. We also got to go tubing twice at Boyd Lake. Lake time is such a gift. When I was young I only got boat time for the 4th of July when we went to see my extended family. I love that my kids get lake time more often than I did! It's been so great to see our girls get braver and braver with their tubing skills! I've been trying to wrack my brain if my parents/aunts/uncles went tubing when I was younger-not sure they did. SO KUDOS to Mandy and I holding our own on the tubes!!!!
