yes I can still do crafts every once in awhile.
Take that Pinterest.
so here's a couple of items that I've actually COMPLETED.
1. Fabric Paint Helping Husband Find the Clothes: This was a small task, but I really enjoy how it looks. Just did simple drawings to represent what is in the fabric totes.
2. RED door to the Land of Kelly: This was an impulse decision, but one that I completely love. It was quite the task of sanding, taping, and painting, and painting, and painting.
Here's a breakdown of the cost and pictures of what this all consisted of:
$10- fridge and stove from ReStore
$11- handles for stove/hand towel
$10- faucet from ReStore (yup it's real!)
$11- pan/sink/pot from Thrift Store
$6- silcone caulk
$7- stove rack
$10- LED light for oven
$7- knobs for oven
------
red paint (already had)
yellow paint (already had)
black spray paint (already had)
Ikea frames (already had)
spray sealer (already had)
wood for stove top and back splash (already had)
------
TOTAL: $72
I then of course had to buy some kitchen utensils and Melissa and Doug's wooden fridge items. And it sounds like Grandma will be sending some more small utensils that she found in her kitchen. It was pretty awesome because I told Russ that I would present the kitchen to the boys this past Saturday. The idea would be that while I away at my tattoo the boys would have a new awesome thing to play with, making Daddy's life a bit easier! Russ predicted that the boys would play with it for 5 minutes and then move on to something else. HAH! Russ told me that he had to PULL AJ away from it in the afternoon to go outside because he just wanted to "cook" all day long.
Score for Momma.
